THE RESILIENCE SOCIAL IMPACT CAMPAIGN

The motivating message at the core of Kim's story is universal. Since its World Premiere at the 40th Annual Mill Valley Film Festival, KIM SWIMS has screened internationally at over a dozen film festivals and counting. It has been honored with several Audience Favorite awards, an award for Best Director, and has been selected as the Opening Night film at several prestigious events. KIM SWIMS has screened at in-store events and as special presentations at Pixar, REI, Deloitte, Athleta, and Sports Basement. Director Kate Webber and centerpiece character Kim Chambers have appeared extensively with the film on panels and as part of Q&As around the country. It has been one of our greatest pleasures to witness the impact the film is having on audiences.

With that in mind, the KIM SWIMS team recently launched a social impact campaign with the goal of empowering communities to push past fear, build resilience, and dream big. We can reach that goal by extending the life of the film through community screenings, donations, and social sharing.

As of May 2018, KIM SWIMS is delighted to be fiscally sponsored by the International Documentary Association (IDA), one the world’s most influential nonprofit organizations in the documentary business. Donations will be used to offset direct costs associated with community screenings and events designed to empower audiences. We continue to have substantial expenses associated with these special initiatives, so we invite your support today. Donations to our work that are processed through IDA are tax deductible in the United States to the full extent allowed by the law.

Every dollar makes a huge difference in our efforts to expand the life of the film.

Will you help us to empower and build resilient communities?
